2017 Development Player Trials

The Perth Wildcats are set to put elite WA basketball talent through its paces at its 2017 Development Player Trials.

The trials are set to take place at the end of July, and registrations are now open!

Development Players will get the rare and exciting opportunity to improve their game under the guidance of some of Australia’s best coaches.

Successful applicants will train with the Perth Wildcats all season round with the possibility of being selected in the team to play for the Wildcats at Perth Arena.

The Perth Wildcats Development Player program aims to turn young players into professional athletes and Wildcats of the future, through hard work, dedication and elite-level training and conditioning.

Vice-captain Greg Hire’s journey is the ultimate Development Player story.

Hire started as a DP and eventually earned a full roster contract. He’s now played 186 games for the club and won three NBL Championships.

Note, applicants must have completed high school to be considered and be 24 years of age or younger as at April 2018.
