The Perth Wildcats are pleased to announce it will once again be touring regional Western Australia during the 2017 NBL off-season.
Throughout May, June and July, Wildcats championship players and coaches will be visiting 11 towns as far south as Albany and as north as Broome for clinics, events and community engagements.
Perth Wildcats vice-captain Greg Hire said he and his teammates are looking forward to the opportunity.
“We’re based in Perth, but really, we represent Western Australia as a whole,” he said.
“It’s going to be great to meet a lot of people who are unable to get to Wildcats games as easily as people in the city. “
The 2017 Perth Wildcats Regional Tour begins in May in the Avon Valley with a clinic in Northam, before heading north to the Mid-West with days in Dongara and Geraldton, plus a special bingo night.
In June, the Wildcats will return to the South West with clinics in Waroona and Bunbury and another bingo night.
The tour then moves into the Southern Wheatbelt with visits to both Katanning and Narrogin.
The Wildcats bus then makes the 2,327km journey to Broome where it will spend three days running clinics and engaging with the Kimberley community.
Finally, the Perth Wildcats will head to the opposite end of the state to our Great Southern region, where it will spend time in Albany, Mount Barker and Denmark.
The 2016 and 2017 NBL Championship trophies will be taken to every event on the Regional Tour calendar!
