Angus Brandt, Aussie Boomers going for Asia Cup Gold

The FIBA Asia Cup begins in Lebanon tomorrow, with Wildcat Angus Brandt featuring in the Australian Boomers team.

Australia go into the tournament as heavy favourites, having drawn Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong and Japan for the group phase of the competition.

Brandt joins a team of Aussie NBL All-Stars, with all clubs represented in the 12-man side.

The good news for fans back home is that the games will be broadcast on Fox Sports.

The Australians first game is against the Japanese side on Tuesday 8 August with tip-off at 9pm WA time.

8 August: Australia vs. Japan at 9pm (Fox Sports ch. 507)
10 August: Australia vs. Hong Kong at 9pm (Fox Sports ch. 507)
12 August: Australia vs. Chinese Taipei at 9pm (Fox Sports ch. 507)
17 August: Quarter-Finals
19 August: Semi-Finals
20 August: Bronze and Gold medal games
