Perth Wildcats centre Angus Brandt will miss the weekend’s NBL Blitz pre-season tournament with Achilles soreness.
Brandt will remain in Perth to undergo treatment, but is expected to recover ahead of additional pre-season games against Cairns and Sydney later this month.
“We want to get on top of it right now,” said coach Trevor Gleeson.
“We don’t want to risk anything with four more games coming up in late September, but we really want him right for October when we start the season.”
Angus Brandt was one of the Wildcats best in pre-season games against Adelaide at the weekend, with 22 and 15 points in the two games.
