Perth Wildcats star Casey Prather has earned a position in the All-NBL First Team for 2016/17.
The team was announced as part of the NBL’s MVP Awards Night in Melbourne on Monday.
Given the improvement in talent across the competition and the increase in number of import players per team, the honour has increased in prestige.
Prather had an outstanding regular season, averaging 19.3 points per game, 4.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists.
His best game in Perth’s win over Melbourne in December – scoring 39 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in the win.
The American’s recent performances in back-to-back must-win games highlights his importance to the team – averaging 27.5 clutch points.
Casey Prather becomes the first Wildcat named to the All-NBL First Team since James Ennis in 2014.
