Perth Wildcats vice-captain Greg Hire has had his penalty for striking reduced to a one-game suspended sentence until the end of the 2017/18 NBL season, and is free to play in tonight’s game.
Greg Hire was cited for striking the Taipans Tony Mitchell three days after Sunday’s game in Cairns.
The final decision was made by NBL Tribunal Chairperson Tony Nolan QC, in a hearing which lasted for almost two and a half hours this morning.
The Perth Wildcats focus remains firmly on tonight’s crucial game against the Sydney Kings at Perth Arena.
