Lucas Walker signs with Perth Wildcats

The Perth Wildcats are pleased to announce the signing of Lucas Walker ahead of the 2017/18 season.

Walker initially joined the Wildcats last season as an injury replacement, but remained an integral part of the playing group throughout the year, pushing his teammates at every training session and continuing to compete at a high level.

A veteran forward who has played 161 games throughout his NBL career, Walker received Coaches’ Award honours during his first season at the Wildcats, thanks to his leadership and commitment to community projects throughout the year.

The 32 year old is known for his strength and athleticism, and brings tenacity on the boards to the Wildcats front-court.

Walker averaged 5.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per game in the 2015/16 NBL season, his last full season in the league.

He joins the recently announced Corey Webster as the latest additions to the Perth Wildcats roster, as they build towards the 2017/18 season.
