Webster granted release from Wildcats

The Perth Wildcats have agreed to a request from Corey Webster to release him from his contract with the club, effective immediately.

Webster originally signed a two-year deal with the Wildcats in March, but recently expressed the desire to break his contract and pursue his career overseas.

“It is disappointing to lose a key signing like Corey, but we’re thankful to have reached this decision now, when we have the time to make the necessary changes,” said Perth Wildcats CEO Troy Georgiu.

“With Corey released from his contract, we now have three roster spots remaining, which can all be filled by import players if required.”
