Recently retired Wildcats legend Shawn Redhage dominated, as the SBL season got underway at the weekend.
Redhage is one of several Wildcats in the State League, with development players Rhys Vague, Corban Wroe and Mason Bragg all looking to impress in a strong competition.
In his first SBL game with the Perth Redbacks, Redhage scored 31 points and was in an attacking frame of mind with 14 trips to the line and zero attempts from downtown.
The 36-year-old is teamed up with NBL rival and former Wildcats teammate Alex Loughton, who scored 18 of his own and grabbed 11 rebounds.
Needless to say, his side won comfortably.
The Stirling Senators, now with Rhys Vague joining Wildcats teammate Corban Wroe, also got off to a winning start.
Vague scored 23, including four of five from downtown, while Wroe added 20.
Mason Bragg got his SBL career off to a winning start as his East Perth Eagles defeated Kalamunda.
The point guard scored 10 points and dropped six dimes in the victory over the Goldfields.
