The Perth Wildcats have fallen 74-82 in their second pre-season game against The Hawks in three days.

John Mooney was the standout for Perth in his second outing at his new club, leading the team in points and rebounds with 19 and 13 respectively.

He also dropped four dimes and picked up a steal.

Mitch Norton was also impressive with 11 points five assists and a steal.

Clint Steindl kept his team in it the game going down the stretch, hitting three late triples and helping out on the glass with five boards.

Trevor Gleeson started the game with one of the youngest starting fives to take to the court for the Wildcats in recent seasons, and the development player duo of Luke Travers and Corey Shervill didn’t disappoint.

Travers provided multiple highlights including a fast break slam to end the game with eight points, while Shervill fell one rebound shy of a double-double.

However, Gleeson will be frustrated by his team’s turnover count, which was the main factor in the team’s defeat.

The delayed 2020/21 season is set to commence on 15 January for the Wildcats.
