For the first time since 2019, the National Basketball League will return to its regular months on the calendar, with the 2022/23 season set to commence in in October.

For the first time since 2019, the National Basketball League will return to its regular months on the calendar, with the 2022/23 season set to commence at the beginning of October.

The NBL released the schedule today, with the Perth Wildcats to open its season at RAC Arena on Sunday 2 October against the Brisbane Bullets.

The Red Army will be treated to a season of blockbuster timeslots, with eight Friday and Saturday night home games to be played at The Jungle.

The remaining home games will be spread across Sunday afternoons, Thursday and Monday night clashes.

The Wildcats will look to make a hot start to the season, with seven of its first 11 games to be played in Perth.

They’ll also be boosted with three of its final four regular season games to be played at home.

However, the team will be tested with eight away games in six weeks from December to January, including a five-game road stand over Christmas and New Year.

In an Australian sporting first, this season’s schedule includes a Christmas Day clash, with Melbourne meeting Sydney at Qudos Bank Arena for the special occasion.
