Adam Caporn joins Brooklyn Nets coaching staff
Former Perth Wildcats player Adam Caporn has been named on Steve Nash's coaching staff at the Brooklyn Nets for the upcoming NBA season.
Caporn played in the NBL from 2003 to 2009, including three seasons with his home-town club where he notched up 55 games for the Wildats.
As a coach, he served as an assistant at Saint Mary's famous basketball program in California from 2011 to 2014, before returning to Australia to head up Basketball Australia's Centre of Excellent from until 2021, when he was appointed head coach of the Long Island Nets in the NBA G League.
Brooklyn announced Caporn, Igor Kokoškov and Trevor Henry would join its coaching staff on Thursday morning Australian time.
Caporn joins Matt Nielsen and Trevor Gleeson as former Widlcats with NBA assistant coaching positions.
