The Australian Boomers are returning to Perth for the first time since 2019 with a double-header in July against Guam and Philippines at RAC Arena.
Ben Henshall said he's excited by the opportunity to represent the Boomers again, with the occasion made even more special by wearing the green and gold in his home state for the first time in front of family, friends and the mighty Red Army.
“It’s great to see these games coming to Perth. Growing up in WA with aspirations of playing at RAC Arena, it’s pretty wild to be here doing it with the Boomers,” Henshall said.
“There’s something special about the fans here. The support they have for me is unreal, they really get behind you. I have no doubt the Red Army will turn green and gold for the Boomers.”

Elijah Pepper returns to RAC Arena in red-hot Boomers form, having combined for 51 points across two games against Guam and the Philippines during the February FIBA World Cup Qualifiers.
The Boomers squad for the Perth qualifiers features strong WA connections, with Henshall and Pepper joined by West Australians Keanu Pinder, Wani Swaka Lo Buluk and Alex Condon, who will make his Boomers debut alongside fellow debutant Bryce Cotton.
The July games will mark Perth’s first-ever international FIBA fixtures, with the Boomers to face Guam on Friday 3 July and the Philippines on Monday 6 July, both tipping off at 6:30pm AWST.
