24 November 2022
Summary
The Perth Wildcats have suffered a significant 82-96 loss at the hands of Adelaide 36ers at RAC Arena. Adelaide came into this game on the back of a loss to NZ on Sunday and proved they were ready to bounce back. Wildcats started slow and were unable to recover, despite their best efforts in the third quarter. After a quiet first half, Bryce Cotton fired up in the second half to finish with 17 points. Robert Franks was Adelaide’s best, managing 21 points and 8 rebounds.
Reaction
John Rillie shares his thoughts after the win.
“We certainly didn’t have the presence or the physicality that we’ve had the last couple of games,” he said.
“When we realised that we weren’t playing up to our ability, they’d already got good momentum and asserted themselves in the game.
“I would say our physicality wasn’t at the level that is has been the last couple of games.”
Player focus
Bryce Cotton finished with a team-high 17 points and team-high 5 assists.
