Perth Wildcats guard Mitch Norton will remain sidelined for up to five weeks, as he continues to recover from a pre-season knee injury.
While initial scans cleared Norton of structural damage, Wildcats medical staff have opted to take a cautious approach with the two-time championship-winning point guard.
Norton hyperextended his right knee at a training session earlier this month and experienced bone bruising.
The Perth Wildcats season commences on Friday night at RAC Arena.
