Ollie Hayes-Brown proved himself as more than just a glorious head of hair in his NBL debut on Sunday.
With Matt Hodgson ruled out with a calf injury, the development player made his NBL debut and didn’t look out of place on the big stage.
In fact, his performance earned himself a place in the record books.
The 21-year-old totalled six points and eight rebounds in just 13 minutes of court time.
Eight rebounds is the second most by a non-import player making his NBL debut while playing for the Perth Wildcats, behind Alex Loughton who pulled down 13 on his debut in 2007.
It exceeds the six grabbed by Andrew Vlahov on his debut in 1991, and Aaron Trahair in 1994.
🙌 Most rebounds by a non-import in their NBL debut with the Perth Wildcats:

Hayes-Brown was added to the Wildcats squad prior to the NBL Blitz pre-season tournament, where he registered one game.
The Perth Wildcats take on the Brisbane Bullets on Sunday at RAC Arena.
