Alex Sarr showed why he's been rated among the best 2024 NBA draft prospects with an eye-catching performance in Perth Wildcats' pre-season victory over NBL1 West Select at Warwick Stadium on Sunday night.

The Wildcats' first ever NBL Next Stars signing helped his team overcome the best of the NBL1 West 99-86 in a see-sawing contest, finishing with one rebound shy of a double-double.

The 216cm Frenchman continued on his highlights reel from his promising Friday night debut against the same opponent, landing three dunks among his 13 points to get the packed house on their feet.

His stat sheet also included nine rebounds, two blocks and two assists before he was rested for the majority of the final quarter.

Sharpshooter Michael Harris got better as the game went on, with 17 of his game-high 23 points coming after half-time.

Import Jordan Usher (16 points) and superstar Bryce Cotton (14) also reached double-figures for the Wildcats, while Lakeside's Rowan MacKenzie was the top-scorer for NBL1 Select with 12.

NBL1 Select led by as much as nine points late in the opening term before the Wildcats clawed their way back into the contest to tie things up at 29-apiece by early in the second as Usher began to assert himself on the contest.

Things also got tight in the third with NBL1 West getting within a solitary point, but the class of the Cats proved to be too much in the 13-point result.

David Okwera's rebounding at both ends of the court was keeping Perth in it early with the athletic former Melbourne United forward reeling in a whopping five first-quarter boards to go with six points.

Okwera, who was also among the Wildcats' best on Friday, had nine rebounds, nine points and three blocks for the match.

Perth swept the two-game series as they prepare for a trip to United States next week to take on the NBA G-League Ignite in Las Vegas.
