The Wildcast is BACK!

This year brings a brand-new lineup behind the mic. Wildcats guard Sunday Dech and Perth Lynx sharpshooter Alex “Chibba” Ciabattoni join diehard Cats fan Daniel “Leachy” Leach. Together they deliver a mix of player insight, fan perspective and plenty of laughs.

The first episode is already live on LiSTNR, with Sunday opening up about his return to Perth, why the timing felt right, and what new import Mason Jones has brought to the group. According to Sunday, the energy in the practice gym lifted the second Mason arrived. 

Chibba also brings a unique perspective, sharing her journey from walking away after a WNBL Grand Final, to coaching in the South West while raising a newborn, before rediscovering her love for the game. Chibba’s got a stack of experiences to draw on, and she tells it how it is with plenty of laughs along the way.

The Wildcast captures the kind of stories only players can tell. Sunday recalls a run-in with a notorious heckler who rattled the team so much a teammate stormed into the stands. Chibba reveals her “film hours” once looked through the roof only because her mum secretly logged in to watch replays under her account.

And in between the basketball talk, both proudly declare themselves Swifties. Sunday even admits he has “a whole genre of Taylor Swift” on his playlist.
