Perth Wildcats captain Jesse Wagstaff is now a chance to play in Saturday’s clash with the NZ Breakers in Tasmania.
Following training on Thursday morning, Wildcats coach Trevor Gleeson said Wagstaff wouldn’t play after suffering a knock to his knee earlier in the week.
However, the injury has since responded well to treatment and a decision will be made on the veteran’s availability on game day.
“Jesse will do an additional workout prior to flying out tomorrow (Friday) afternoon,” said Perth Wildcats physical performance manager Josh Cavanagh.
“We’ll assess how he pulls up from that, as well as from the flights, and make a decision at game day shoot around in Tasmania.”
After taking on the Breakers on Saturday, the Wildcats head to Melbourne where it meets United on Wednesday.
