The Perth Wildcats will play Finals again in 2021, after booking a ticket to the post-season with six games to spare.

It will be the Wildcats 35th consecutive trip to the NBL Finals.

To put that in perspective, the AFL record for consecutive finals appearances is 13, while in the NBA, the San Antonio Spurs and the Philadelphia 76ers share the honours with a 22-year post-season streak in their history books.

Perth qualified for their first NBL Finals in 1987, after missing out in their first four seasons in the competition.

Since then, it has won a record 10 championships, including four of the last five.

The 2021 Wildcats will now look to solidify a likely top-two position, while finish atop the standings isn’t out of the question with Melbourne United just one lass clear of the second-ranked Perth.
