Wildcats launch season in style
The Perth Wildcats have launched their delayed 2020/21 season in style, with a breakfast event at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre on Thursday.
Approximately 300 guests joined the Wildcats players, coaches and staff to celebrate the beginning of a new season where Perth will once again go in as the defending champions.
The morning including a panel discussion featuring club legend Mike Ellis and Ricky Grace, who discussed the club's first championship on its 30th anniversary.
Following breakfast, the event culminated in the presentation of the 2020/21 Perth Widlcats roster, followed by interviews with Trevor Gleeson, Bryce Cotton and Todd Blanchfield.
Cotton said it's been a long off-season, and the team is excited to finally start playing games.
"We've been working hard for a long time, we're very well conditioned, our bodies have had more than enough time to rest," he said.
"I think we're in pretty good shape and I think we'll be able to hit the ground rolling having this much time to get the team chemistry going before the season actually starts,"
The new-look Perth Wildcats take to the court for the first time on Tuesday when they face The Hawks in a pre-season game at RAC Arena.
