Jo Lual-Acuil Jr helped guide Al Ahly Ly to the final stages of the Basketball Africa League, finishing with nine points, eight rebounds and a block in their Semi Final matchup against Petro de Luanda.

While Al Ahly Ly fell short of a place in the championship game, Acuil's strong tournament was recognised with selection in the All-BAL Second Team.
