This year, the Perth Wildcats celebrate 40 years in the NBL, and on Saturday, the club finally gets the opportunity to recognise the extraordinary milestone.

In 1982, the team was known as the Westate Wildcats, and donned the state colours of Western Australia – yellow and black.

On Saturday night, the Wildcats will wear specially designed uniforms inspired by those worn by the inaugural players.

The jersey is yellow with a black trim, with the script wordmark a replica of that used on the original uniform.

It also retains the Indigenous markings which feature on all Wildcats uniforms this season – but in the yellow and black colour scheme.

The shorts are black with a yellow trim, with the original Wildcats logo featuring prominently on the right leg.

Coaches and team staff will also pay tribute to the original Wildcats team with a yellow and black coaches polo.

The limited edition 40th Anniversary jersey and polo shirt are available now from the Perth Wildcats Team Store.

In addition to the historic colour palette, Saturday’s 40th Anniversary Celebration Game will feature an array of historic content and memorable moments.

Players and coaches from the club’s 40-year history will also be in attendance and be acknowledged throughout the night.

Remaining tickets are available here.
