Perth Wildcats fans can expect to see the team’s extended roster get their opportunity to take the floor in Thursday’s second pre-season contest with the Hawks.
The Wildcats stormed home to win the opening game of the two-game pre-season series 91-83.
Bryce Cotton top-scored with 25 points, doing it in 26 minutes of action.
Wildcats coach Trevor Gleeson said he plans to distribute court-time similarly in game two.
“We’ll see how everyone recovers, but if we can play 25 minutes from our major guys and get the role players in off the bench for a good 20 minutes I’ll be happy.”
Gleeson said the series is a great opportunity to dust off the cobwebs.
“Our timing and getting in-sync with each other is going to take some time, but it was a good hit-out,” he said.
“A couple of guys are brand new to the Wildcats, a few guys playing for the first time in the Arena, so it was very positive for us.”
The Hawks will go into the second game without star recruit Deng Adel, who injured his leg in the final minutes on Tuesday.
Wani Swaka Lo Buluk will again miss Thursday’s game.
Tip-off at the Bendat Basketball Centre is at 6.30pm.
