Another week of off-season action delivered plenty of highlights from Wildcats. With a game-winner in New Zealand, a 34-point explosion here in WA, and a breakout performance from one of our rising young guns.

The basketball action is heating up in in New Zealand, where Dontae Russo-Nance was the hero for the Manawatu Jets, sinking the game-winning three to edge out the Southland Sharks. Finishing with an exceptional 21 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals in a complete two-way performance.

Hyrum Harris was massive in Wellington’s win over Otago, posting 15 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals in a dominant display on both ends - and David Okwera continued his steady output for the Franklin Bulls, tallying 14 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists against Whai, followed by 7 points and 6 boards against the Tuatara.

Staying overseas as we take you to France, where Tai Webster and JL Bourg secured back-to-back playoff wins over Cholet. Webster contributed 10 points, 2 boards and a steal in Game 1, following up with 2 points, 2 rebounds and a steal in Game 2 as the team advanced. We wish Tai all the best with the Semi Finals matchup against Paris, and hope the team continue their successful run in the playoffs.

Back home in WA, Elijah Pepper and Todd Withers went to work for the Warwick Senators. Pepper had another great game, with 24 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 2 steals, while Withers torched the Goldfield Giants with 34 points, 6 boards and 2 assists.

Tom Gerovich had a weekend to remember for the Willetton Tigers. After a steady showing of 4 points and 5 rebounds against Cockburn, he exploded for 24 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block in an overtime win against Geraldton.

Rounding things out, Sunday Dech helped lead the Knox Raiders past the Kilsyth Cobras, contributing 7 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals in another reliable outing from the veteran guard - and it was another double-double for Lat Mayen who delivered for the West Adelaide Bearcats, racking up 22 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal in a hard-fought battle against Woodville.
