The Perth Wildcats young gun is averaging 6.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and three assists per game in NBL25, making the most of injuries to regular starters Bryce Cotton and Tai Webster.
In six appearances this season, Henshall has reached double-digit points three times and has more than doubled his time on court from his debut NBL campaign.
Henshall is the lone Wildcats representative in the 12-man squad which will face Thailand (November 21) and Korea ( November 24) in a pair of FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers on the road next month.
Dual NBL title-winning Wildcats Mitch Norton, now at Brisbane, and Nick Kay (now playing for B-League outfit Shimane Susanoo Magic) are other familiar faces in the squad, to be coached by ex-Wildcats assistant coach Jacob Chance.
Henshall, 20, has already represented his country multiple times at senior level, most recently in a two-game series in Japan in June where he averaged 8.5 points, seven rebounds and 5.5 assists.
Boomers squad: Sam Froling (Illawarra), Chris Goulding (Melbourne), Ben Henshall (Perth), Will 'Davo' Hickey (Illawarra), Jordan Hunter (SEM Phoenix), Nick Kay (Shimane Susanoo Magic), Mitch Norton (Brisbane), Lachlan Olbrich (Illawarra), Nathan Sobey (SEM Phoenix), DJ Vasiljevic (Adelaide), Jack White (Melbourne), Rocco Zikarsky (Brisbane)
