Sharpshooter Michael Harris led the Senators to a hard-fought 106-95 win over Goldfields at Warwick Stadium on Saturday night.
On the back of a player-of-the-round effort the weekend prior, Harris put up a team-high 28 points, including four triples, and a game-high nine assists to go with five rebounds in another stellar performance.
The 24-year-old scored a dozen points in the final quarter alone as Warwick held off a brave Giants outfit.
Elsewhere in the NBL1 West, David Okwera came close to another double-double in East Perth’s road loss to Eastern Suns on Saturday.
Okwera finished with nine rebounds, eight assists, seven points and three assists.
In the New Zealand Basketball League, Hyrum Harris celebrated his return from a knee issue with a 106-80 win over Otago in Wellington.
Harris was on limited game time for the Saints, playing nine-and-a-half minutes for four assists, two rebounds and two points.
The Nuggets were missing Wildcats trio Ben Henshall (Australian duties), Tai Webster (birth of his second child) and Dontae Russo-Nance (injured).
Centre Jack Andrew was the lone Wildcats representative for Otago, scoring 10 points to go with eight rebounds.
In Puerto Rico, Kristian Doolittle dominated in Bayamon’s home victory over Indios at the ‘Cowboy Ranch’ on Sunday.
Doolittle, who is returning for his second season as a Wildcat in NBL25, had 27 points and eight rebounds in the 104-84 result.
It followed on from his 11-point, five-rebound game against Quebradillas on Saturday and 10 points, four rebounds and three assists against Carolina on Thursday.
