Perth Wildcats head coach Trevor Gleeson has been named 2020 KPMG Coach of the Year at the 2020 RAC SportWest Awards.
It was announced a gala dinner held at RAC Arena on Thursday night.
Gleeson accepted the award with a video message from Melbourne.
“It’s certainly a great honour to be selected, and I’d like to congratulate the other nominees, you guys had great year,” he said.
“I’d like to thank Jack Bendat for the ongoing support for everything we do here at the Wildcats, he’s right behind us.
“As well as my beautiful wife Dawn Gleeson for the support, and I can’t forget the players I coached, thank you for allowing me to coach you.”
The other finalists for the award were Trent Cooper (Fremantle Dockers AFLW), Lisa Keightley (WA Women’s Cricket), and Stacey Marinkovich (West Coast Fever).
It’s Gleeson’s second time taking out the award, after also claiming the prize in 2017.
Congratulations to all the award winners from the night.
