The inspirational captain needs another 10 more games to pass Grace’s tally of 482 after finishing NBL24 on 473 appearances.
But the 37-year-old knows there’s still a lot to pan out before that happens.

“It would mean a huge amount if I did,” Wagstaff said about the potential of breaking Grace’s record.
“There’s a lot to go before that happens though, there’s a mountain of pre-season and games.
“Ricky is obviously a legend of not only this club, but of the entire NBL and Australian basketball as well.
“I’m very proud of playing NBL basketball but particularly of playing with the Wildcats and for the one club for so long.”
Wagstaff played a key role helping turn the Cats’ season around after a 2-5 start, averaging 7.4 points per game from December onwards as the team earned a remarkable top-two berth.
But he admitted it was a “super disappointing” finish to the season after getting knocked out by champions Tasmania in game three of a see-sawing semi-final series.
“It was super disappointing,” Wagstaff said.
“You do so much work throughout the regular season to put yourselves in a really good spot and we did that, finishing second is a pretty hard task in this league.
“We got rewarded with two home semi-finals but just couldn’t capitalise.
“Tassie obviously went on and won the whole thing and credit to them, but from our perspective it was certainly disappointing.”
