Sarr made the announcement on ESPN’s NBA Today this week, declaring he’s “ready for the next step” on the back of a year playing professionally in Australia.
The inaugural Wildcats Next Star paid tribute to the club, saying he was “grateful” for his time in red and black.
"I had a great year playing professional basketball in the NBL," Sarr told NBA Today.
"There was a lot of growth in my game and as a person. I'm ready for the next step, so it was obvious for me to declare for the draft.
“I'm grateful for the year I spent in the NBL with the Perth Wildcats."
The 216cm Sarr averaged 9.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game in NBL24, regularly having a big impact off the bench.
The NBA Draft will be held on June 26-27 in New York with Sarr predicted to go as high as pick one.
