UPDATE 6AM 28 March: White will also miss the Sunday 28 March game against the Sydney Kings.
Perth Wildcats guard Kevin White has flown to New South Wales for the birth of he and his partner’s second child, and will not play in Friday night’s game against the Illawarra Hawks.
He hasn’t been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Sydney Kings at Qudos Bank Arena at this stage.
“We’re pretty strong with guards, with Mitch (Norton), Bryce (Cotton), LT (Travers) can play some point guard, and then we have Taylor (Britt) and Wani (Swaka Lo Buluk), so we’re blessed in that area.”
“Most of all, we’re hoping it’s a great day for Kev and Rach, the baby’s healthy and all those boxes are ticked.”
Friday’s game tips off at 6.30pm, with tickets available via Ticketek.
