Summary
The Perth Wildcats have suffered a disappointing over-time loss at the hands of Brisbane Bullets at Nissan Arena. It was a back-and-forth battle from the get-go, with Wildcats holding a five-point lead at half time. Brisbane put their foot down in the third and the Cats clawed back to level the scores at the end of the fourth. Bryce Cotton stood out for the Wildcats with a game-high 30 points, while Brady Manek managed an impressive 17 points and 7 rebounds. Nathan Sobey was Brisbane's best, finishing with 28 points.
Reaction
Captain Jesse Wagstaff shared his thoughts post-game.
"We've been trying to turn things around for a while now," he said.
"It's the inconsistency, it's the o-boards in the first quarter, then it's the de-trans in the second, then it's something else in the third and something else in the fourth.
"It's disappointing, it sucks, but we'll keep on fighting and we've got a tough task ahead of us, facing New Zealand in New Zealand is a tough task, but we'll keep fighting."
